  1. Bring a pot of salted water to boil over high heat to cook the fettuccine.
  2. Heat the oil in a medium nonstick saucepan over medium heat, add the onion, sprinkle with salt and pepper, and cook until softened, about 2 minutes, being careful not to brown. Whisk in the yogurt and cottage cheese, remove from the heat, and set aside.
  3. Cook the fettuccine according to the package directions. Transfer with tongs to the saucepan, adding a little of the pasta water to thin the sauce. Stir well to coat and add the grated parmesan cheese. Serve with more cheese on the side.
