Ingredients
Servings: People
Instructions
  1. Using a large slow-cooker, plug in and turn to High. Add the butter or olive oil and the soup/bouillon cubes and 1/2 cup of water. Using a fork, break up the soup cubes. Add the garlic powder.
  2. Reduce the temperature of the slow-cooker to the lowest setting, preferably for 8-10 hours. Add the frozen beef roast, and sprinkle a little salt and pepper over the top. Cover and cook for the longest cycle time, up to 12 hours if your slow cooker has a timer. The longer it slow cooks, the more tender it becomes.
  3. Approximately 2 hours before serving time, chop the carrots, potatoes, onion, and green beans into large chunks. Add these vegetables on top of the roast and cover. Cook the remaining 2 hours or until vegetables are tender.
Variation:
  1. To add a little spice to this traditional flavor, add a 16 ounce jar of pepperoncinis at the beginning of the cook cycle. Vegetables are optional if using this roast for hoagie sandwiches.
